Zoom XXX Parties

Previous to COVID19 I haven’t heard of many people using Zoom. Most don’t even know what it is, as it’s been saved for the commerce world of remote business meetings. With nearly everyone quarantined Zoom usage quickly grew with companies, schools and even the adult entertainment industry becoming the new go to group communication method. So popular, in fact they had nearly 200 million daily users in March.

In the adult entertainment world, we are inventive. We find new ways to use social media and other outlets to achieve our goals and usually do this with extreme caution as we face the most scrutiny. To no surprise it didn’t take long for Zoom to be used for purposes like OnlyFans content and virtual sex parties. According to their user policy – users may not use the platform to engage in “activity that is harmful, obscene or indecent, particularly as such would be understood in the context of business usage.” Also very clearly calls out nudity, pornography, sexually explicit material, criminal activity and violence specifically.

I hope at this point you’re sitting down because this next part will come as a huge shock (or not to those of us who have known this technology exists). “Zoom says that the platform uses ‘machine learning’ to identify accounts in violation of its policies — though it has remained vague about its methods for identifying offending users and content.”

Now think about this. Snapchat babes from 2014-2017… remember how often you would be deleted over and over no matter what you did? For years we all speculated. Algorithms, users directly reporting… anything we could try to test to figure it out. If this kind of technology is available to something like Zoom, there isn’t a doubt in my mind that companies like Skype and Snapchat have purchased some sort of similar tool.

When asked about this vague statement given by Zoom there doesn’t seem to be any clarification given. Executives have not responded to questions about how the platform might be alerted to nudity/pornographic content. The only statement that has been given (outside of that outlandish one) is a reference to the policy section which states “[Zoom] does not monitor meetings and its contents.”

For now I think it is safe to say that Zoom isn’t an adult entertainer friendly platform. Those who continue to push the envelope don’t 100% know what they’re in for when it comes to the actions Zoom will take. If you’re looking to create content like this, try another outlet that has less risk associated with its use like FaceTime. If you know of any platforms models can use in place of Zoom, please let me know in the comments!

As a stripper and webcam model of 14 years I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others about the industry. One thing that was apparent from the beginning was how very few places had our best interests in mind. I started succexxxful (pronounced successful just a lil spicier) as a "How To" content based site to answer questions, and changed direction when I realized how I could truly help. By offering adult entertainers better solutions to insurance information and resources I’ve created a platform designed for a chance to feel equal, secure and educated.
